The big news.... Haystack Ski Mountain has officially been purchased! The owners of the Hermitage Club have purchased Haystack Ski Mountain and Golf Course and are hoping to have the mountain open for weekend skiing this winter! This bodes very well for extra skiing terrain in the future, a potential snowmobiling and cross country skiing paradise, as well as for adjacent property owners who have been waiting for the club to get up and running. For those summer Vermonters, the Tough Mudder May is already completely booked and we’re expecting 45,000 people to converge on the area
during mudseason. If you were planning on coming but haven’t reserved a spot, don’t let that get you down, they have added a second Tough Mudder competition at Mount Snow in July. It’ll be hotter, but just as fun and again a great boon for the area.
Haystack Ski Mountain is having its official opening gala this weekend including free skiing, tubing, ice skating, sleigh rides, food, music, and more. We should see Wilmington property values benefit from having another ski area locally.

The Bluebird Chairlift towers have gone up the mountain and the lift looks to be right on target for this winter ski season at Mount Snow.
The downtown Wilmington rebuilding is going along full steam and along with a newly hired economic development professional, the town could be better than ever when it gets back up and running.
